Aigrefeuille-on-Maine ( Aègrefoeylh in Gallo/Poitevin) is a common French, located in the department of the Loire-Atlantique and the area Pays of the Loire.

History

The origin of the name comes from Latin aquifolium , the houx or the service-tree. The name of " besides is found; villa aquifolium" with the surroundings of the IX and XIeme centuries. About 1250, a commandery Templière established in the commune.
