Ahuitzotl

Ahuitzotl is the brother of Axayacatl and Tizoc and succeeds this last like Tlatoani (title meaning that which with the word , speaker in Nahuatl) i.e. sovereign of the Aztèques in 1486. According to certain sources, nearly four twenty thousand people were sacrificed the day of its advent. Although this figure is probably exaggerated, it seems that under its reign the practice of the human sacrifices extended. He is a large conqueror and extends his empire in the Actual positions of Veracruz, Guerrero and part of the Chiapas. It is him which inaugurates the large temple of Tenochtitlan called Templo Mayor in Castillan.
