Ahmed of the Gold Horde

Ahmed of Gold the Horde Khan of the Horde of Gold of 1465 with 1481.

Also named Akhmat Khan. Wire of Kutjukh Mohammed Khan, it succeeds his brother Mahmud Khan with the head of the Grande Horde.

In 1476 the Large-prince of Moscow Ivan III of Russia refused to pay the tribute with the khan Horde of Gold. This last decided to punish Russian, it gathered an large army and left to shift.

In 1480 it arrived at the edge of the Oka, with the confluence of the river Ougra. The Tatars decided not to cross the river. On opposite bank the army was held of Ivan III. Russian also decided not to attack Ahmed Khan. The two armies remained thus one opposite the other separated by water from Ougra until the autumn. The November 11th 1480, the army tatare which had difficulties of supply and suffered from the cold left its camping of bank of Ougra without fighting. This event accepted the name of Grande halt on the river Ougra it marked the end of the yoke of tataro-Mongolian on the principality of Moscow.

The January 6th 1481 the army of Ahmed Khan was overcome and itself killed at the time of a meeting on the river bank Donets with Ibak Khan of Sibir in Western Siberia.

Three wire of Ahmed Khan: Seyid Ahmed II, Mutarza and Sheykh Ahmed reigned then on the Gold Horde until its dispartition in 1502.
