Ahmed Toufiq

Ahmed Toufiq (born the June 22nd 1943 in Marigha in the High Atlas, Morocco) is the current Moroccan minister for Habous and the Islamic Businesses.

Biography

Studies and diplomas

Ahmed Toufiq led her primary and secondary studies to Marrakech and obtained finally, a license be-letters (option history) of the Faculty of Arts and Social sciences of Rabat in 1968. It is also titular of a Certificate of archeology and a diploma of 3er cycle supported with the Faculty of Arts of Rabat.

Occupied functions

Ahmed was the vice-senior of the Faculty of Arts of Rabat (of 1976 with 1978) where he is now professor of history. It has be thereafter named as directing of Institute of Studies African (station that he occupied of 1989 with 1995), then directing of the General Library (station that he always occupies since 1995).

The October 15th 2007, it is renewed at its station by Mohammed VI.

Family life

Ahmed Toufiq is married and father of four children.

Works

He is the author of many studies and communications on the history of Morocco. Like studies, he in particular wrote:

  • " The Moroccan company at the XIXe century - Inoultane 1850 - 1912 "

  • " Islam and development "
  • " Jews of Demnat "
  • " Morocco and Western Africa through the ages "
It also undertook several scientific activities and collaborated in the drafting of the encyclopedia of Morocco with for title " The alphabetical Dictionary of knowledge concerning the past and the present of Morocco " . Ahmed was member of the Editorial board of " The review of the Faculty of Arts of Reduction " and of the bibliographical directory " The Moroccan book " , published by the association the heights Morrocans for the publication.

Ahmed Toufiq was also distinguished as a novelist, with " Jarat Abi Musa " (neighbors of Musa Abi published in 1997), then " Assayl " (The torrent published in 1998) and " The tree and the moon ".
