Rieumes (in Occitan Riumas ) is a common French, located in the department of the Haute-Garonne and the area the Midday-Pyrenees.

Its inhabitants is called Rieumois.

The history of Rieumes is marked by its action within the French Résistance. The " Maquis of Rieumes " is one of the craftsmen of the victory of the Résistants on the Nazis.

Events

Since 1904, more than one hundred years the Rugby in Rieumes forms integral part of the life of her inhabitants.
Rieumes has also a Tradition taurine inherited the generations which knew " arenas of the sun of or" from Toulouse. Since the years 2000, nearly 200 voluntary work each year with the organization of spectacles taurins, the first weekend of September from now on is devoted to this demonstration.
