Ahmed Rami

Ahmed Mohammed Rami (Arab: أحمدرامي) or Ahmad Mohammed Rami (August 19th, 1892 - June 4th, 1981), was an Egyptian poet. He passed to the posterity thanks to the songs which he composed for Umm Kalthoum and Mohammed Abdel Wahab. Rami was also translator. It in particular translated several parts of Shakespeare and the famous Quatrains of the poet Persan Omar Khayyam. It was named " Poet of Jeunes" in recognition for its considerable contribution to the Arab song.
