It has also promi to fight the Corruption, to create jobs and to create better residences for the majority of the Comorians who live in poverty. We leave to the politicians the care to manage the country, but, if they will have failed in their mission, we will go down in the arenas to defend the interests of the Comorian people”.
Held with the Palate of the People in December 1989, at the time of the first roundtable of the Country, the shortly after the assassination of fire President Ahmed Abadallah Abdérémane, these remarks headlands can light, partly, the route of that which was always considered initially as Uléma which refuses to remain indifferent to the fate of its fellow-citizens.
Born on June 5th, 1958 in Mutsamudu - Anjouan - the Comoros, the young SAMBI, like all the young Comorians, attends the Koranic school and the elementary school in its birthplace. It begins the secondary with Mutsamudu, to finish it in Saudi Arabia and in Sudan.

He made wonder at the time of his electoral campaign when he made a demonstration of basketball to young people than him.
It is in the prestigious school “Hawzat Al Qaaim” in Iran, that it acquires a solid religious formation and supplements its political education.
Ustadh or the Master lecturer
Ahmed Abdallah Mohamed Sambi made known himself in the country for the first time, during her summer holidays in 1979, by the talks which it holds in the principal mosque of the town of Mutsamudu and by the periodical “Return to the source” that it founds with his friends after his return to the Comoros during the summer 1980.
It pays visits, in Madagascar in 1982 and Mauritius in 1984 when it also holds of the Conferences in the mosques.
Ustadh worries the capacity
Returned definitively with the country at the beginning of 1986, it founds a school (Madras) for girls and continues its Conferences, the evening in the mosques. The passion of the young people for these Conferences seriously worries the authorities of the mode of the time and the Governor of Anjouan orders the closing of his school and prohibits his conferences.
These measurements dissatisfy the young people who start street demonstrations and face the forces about the Gendarmerie come to disperse them. The assessment shows burned automobiles, many casualties and arrests.
Ahmed Abdallah Sambi, itself shown of conspiracy; is thrown in prison without judgment. It will spend 21 days there and will achieve there part of the month of Ramadan of this year.
a frightening eloquence
After its coming out of prison, it leaves to Large-Comore, where it acquires a great audience. The religious ceremonies, the festivities of the marriages, the mosques, the conference rooms, attract more and more large-Comorians, young people especially, who appreciate this theologist come from Anjouan (made new for them), whose religious eloquence and speech allure more and more.
This fish pond of admirors will be used largely at the time of his countryside and its election for the supreme office of the country. The admirors voluntarily invested themselves in the promotion of its candidature, without relay and seeking by no means to draw advantage from it.
In the middle of 1987, it leaves for Egypt and meets there the Comorian students of Cairo who made his knowledge at the time of a Conference. On his return to the Comoros, one withdrew his passport to him and one prohibits to him to leave the Country.

a Politician?
In 1989, President Ahmed Abdallah Abdérémane orders the restitution of his passport with SAMBI which goes at once to Maurice. It is there that he learns the assassination from President Abdallah on November 26th, 1989.
The period going from April 1990 in December 1996 sees Ahmed Abdallah Sambi activating himself to hold, for the first time, of the Conferences with Mayotte, to found with Anjouan Radio Ulézi and TV ULEZI, to take part in the creation of party F.N.J (Front National for Justice) and to actively support the candidature of Mohamed Taki Abdoulkarim for presidential of 1990.
It belongs to the three selected Comorian personalities to make a speech in the organized Islamic conference with Moroni with the Palate of the People on July 27th, 1992
During these Nineties, it mobilizes always and still: against the establishment of the relations with Israel, against the publication of the satanic verses of Salman Rouchdi, against the visa of entry with Mayotte imposed by the Balladur Government, against the reduction of the tax of alcohol and in 1993, it calls with demonstrations against the massacre of the Moslems in Bosnia and mobilizes funds in favor of the victims of the war in this country.
In 1994, he visits France where he holds of the Conferences in Arts centres before returning in Mutsamudu in November 1994 to organize there a great demonstration against the establishment of the relations between the Comoros and Israel. He will leave then to Egypt to denounce these relations near the General secretary of the League of the Arab States and will be stopped for that and will be thrown in prison on order of the Comorian Government.
Active defender of the Taki candidature in 1996, Sambi will decline the offer of a ministerial position then that of Ambassador which is proposed to him, to be made elect, easily, appointed of Mutsamudu. Appointed President of the Commission of the Laws to the National Assembly, it is taken course by the riots of Anjouan, in 1997.
Only against all
The separatist crisis, the intervention of the Gendarmerie reinforced by troops come from Mohéli and Large the Comoros, upset it. More active than ever, the Sambi Deputy presses his colleagues to adjourn the meetings and to find a solution with the crisis anjouanaise. The subject not being registered with the day order and not managing to convince the deputies, the President of the Commission of the Laws to the National Assembly poses an act symbolic system: it and the turn of Moroni with a sign on which one can read “the weapons speak in Anjouan, is this makes expresses all alone the solution? ”.
Exile
Returned in Anjouan in August 1997 on request express of President Taki Abdoulkarim, it is distinguished once again in Mutsamudu while refusing to attend the prayer in the mosque of Friday over which fleet the French flag. Threatened by the separatists, in his person, on her family and her goods it is constrained to resign of its mandate of Deputy
Little followed in its declarations in favor of the unit of the country, not listened in its attempts to found the dialog between the separatists and the central capacity, very marked by the unhappy events of December 1998 (Civil war with Anjouan), it took refuge with its family in Madagascar, in January 1999, after being attacked verbally in the mosque of Moroni where the rumor propagated by its detractors made of him, with its defending body, one of the chiefs of separatism anjouanais.
the industrialist
Returned to the country in March 2000, it launches out in the industrial adventure and becomes, thanks to a rudimentary second-hand equipment bought in Mauritius, manufacturer of mattress. The small company functions rather well and will give rise to an production unit of Perfume and Eau de Cologne in 2003. In 2004, following a voyage in India where he visited an industrial fair, he buys the hardware requirement with the setting out of water bottle of table.
the candidate
On Friday, March 18, 2005, after a voyage in France, he announces with his friends his intention to present himself to the presidential election of 2006. He obtains the agreement of the latter which encourage it in this direction.
He will announce this candidature for Madagascar, in May 2005, in front of the Comorian students of this country. On its return of Madagascar, it confirms its candidature in the Gazette of the Comoros.
Ahmed Abdallah Sambi presents himself to the presidential election under independent label although he is always member of his party. “I presented myself as an independent candidate to remain independent” declares it during a great meeting with Moroni.
Very quickly, the “clean” candidate asserts himself. A wave of support without preceding fact of him the favorite candidate of the people. Its adversaries then start operations to make it pass as well as possible for a populist demagog, in the worst case and generally for integrist, pro-Iranian, representative and fifth column of the international Shiism in the Comoros! All these attempts fail and it is very right if the international mediums retain the term of islamist moderate.
the President
Ahmed Abdallah Mohamed SAMBI will be elected with a clear majority and, for the first time in the history post-independence of the Comoros, a poll will be judged by all, inside as outside the country, free, democratic and transparent.
