Ahmès-Néfertary

Ahmès-Néfertary was the wife and probably the sister of the Pharaon Ahmosis (Greek name of Iâhmes , or Ahmose ), founder of. It is described as royal girl, royal sister, Grande royal wife (stele of the Donation, stele of Maasara). It had been born from the large royal wife, mother of Ahmosis, the queen Iâhhotep (inscription on a vase of the Sinai). She married her brother after year 18 (she is absent from stele of Hanover year 18) and before the year 22 (stele of Maasara). She survived to him, crossing the reign of her son and successor Amenhotep {{Ier}}, and still presents to the sides of the queen Ahmès, wife of Thoutmôsis {{Ier}} (which was neither his/her daughter nor her grand-daughter, but probably a relationship). She had at least three children: a prince Ahmosé-Sipair, born before the year 22 (stele of the Donation), undoubtedly died in low age; Amenhotep {{Ier}} and Ahmosé-Méritamon

Its association with certain achievements of her husband is very narrow, it was the first queen to take up the sacerdotal duty of Divine Adoratrice d' Amon; as “a wife of the god ”, it reorganized the worship, gaining there in prestige at the point to become a holy owner of the necropolis thebaine, with a boat which had left at the time of the processions related to the great festivals.

Celebrated like the ancestor beneficial of the following dynasties, it is represented with the same attributes as a goddess. She in particular comparable with Isis - Hathor, and is illustrated with her son Amenhotep child.
