Ahe

Ahe is a Atoll located in the Archipel of Tuamotu in French Polynésie. This one belonged to the common of Manihi.

History

Ahe was the last atoll of Tuamotu to be discovered by Charles Wilkes the September 6th 1839.

The motu Poro-Poro, on the atoll of Ahé , was inhabited during a few years by Bernard Moitessier which had built a Faré there. It will leave it in 1978 to go to live with Moorea.
