Agta
The agtas are spirits of the trees living with the Filipino . They are however not related with the Dryades, because they do not hesitate to cut down trees to harm the human ones. Of male appearance, they are longiformes and live naked. They generally elect residence in the highest trees (Mangrove, Santol, balete), where they appreciate the soft aroma of a Pipe or a Cigare. The night, they go down from their tree to grind. It sometimes happens to them to approach the human ones, with an aim of preventing them from fishing.

The agtas are also called bawas , kapres or ungos .
