Agroalimentary

The agroalimentary is the whole of the systems of the secondary primary sectors and put at the chain to form starting from an element cultivated or high a produced finished sold with large scales.

Cultures with fine the nonfood ones (pharmaceutical, chemical, textile, energy) although related to agroindustrielles dies specific, remains gathered in this general branch of activity.

Organization

One can form a chain of three important links in the agroalimentary one.

Link upstream

This unit comprises:

manufacturers of Farm equipment (ex: Tractor S, Combine harvester…) ;
manufacturers of Input S (ex: Manure, Pesticide S, Fungicidal S…) ;
manufacturers of seed S.

Central link

This unit comprises all the Agriculteur S and stockbreeder S. It acts of the producing S of the matter which will be transformed.

Link downstream

This unit modifies the products provided by the Primary sector. It acts here for example:

them To condition (ex: détaillage of the meat, vegetables in the small boat or sachet…)
them To refine (ex: bleaching of the Sugar, salt…)
of the débactériser (ex: Pasteurization, sterilization,…)
to extract a part (ex from it: Starch of the Corn, extracted from plants - texturing, aromatic, dye S -…)
them To transform or to cook them (ex: crushing, Torrefaction, Freeze-drying, Cooking, manufacture of flavors of transformation…)
to assemble them (ex: Soup S and soups, Sauce S, dishes cooked…)

They are then the agroalimentary proceeded .

Called into question

Agribusiness industry is regularly shown finger by organizations of monitoring such as AFSSA in France, which show it not to support nutritional balance by producing too fatty food, too rich in Sucre S simple or in salt. The influence of the lobby is also criticized, to have made pressure at the time of votes of laws which forced it (ex: law prohibiting the presence of distributers of food in the College S and College S).
