Agreements of Wye Plantation

The Accords of Wye Plantation are signed political agreements the October 23rd 1998 between Israel and the Autorité Palestinian and negotiated following the Interim agreement on the West Bank and the Gaza Strip (or Oslo II) of the September 28th 1995. These new agreements prepare new Israeli evacuations on 13% of the the West Bank.

These documents were signed by Yasser Arafat, president of the Palestinian Authority, and Benjamin Netanyahou, Prime Minister for the State of Israel, in the presence of the US president Bill Clinton with the White House with Washington. The text was ratified by the Knesset (Israeli Parliament) by 75 favorable votes against 19 opposed to the agreement.

Following the release of the the Second Intifada in September 2000, the plan of evacuation cold and was applied forever.
