Agostino Agazzari

Biography

Agostino Agazzari was born in an aristocratic family; he taught initially with the Collegium Germanicum of Rome, but returned to His in 1607 to become first organist, then main choruses of the cathedral.

He was a Compositeur and a theorist of the music of the time Baroque. He is especially known for “ LED sonare sopra' L basso ”, which is one of the first treaties on the Basse continues. The majority of its works belong to the field of the crowned Musique.
