The Agilolfings or Agilolfides are the members of the first dynasty of Bavarian dukes (or Bajuvares). The name is éponyme, the first of them being Agilulf. They reigned on the Bavarian Duché of the 6th century until the end of the 8th century. They were regarded as descendants of the Mérovingiens. Several attempts at takeover failed, in particular by the Carolingiens. The residence of Agilolfings was with Ratisbon.
