Agathias
Agathias , known as the Scholastic (towards 536 - 582/594) ( Agathias Scholasticus ) is a lawyer and Greek historian of the 6th century born with Myrina, Asia Mineure.
Works
He wrote a Histoire of the reign of Justinien (from 553 to 559) in five books, which makes following that of Procope de Césarée. It belongs to the Byzantine Collection and was translated into French by the president Cousin.Agathias composed also a Anthologie in seven books, published in Paris, Greek-Latin, 1660, folio, and more. reprinted time.
