Aero To order 100
The Aero Commander 100 is four-seater of school and of metal tourism with high wing in the traditional train derived from the Volaire 1050 fixes, which was produced of 1965 to 1968.
With the beginning of the year 60 Aero Commander had realized that its principal weakness with respect to its large competitors, Cessna, Piper and Beech, was not to be able fidéliser its customers fault of having a complete range of the two-seater of school with the twin-engine of business. To have four-seater light of line entry it bought the firm Volaircraft and continued the production of the Model 1050 of 1965 to 1968. This apparatus was renamed Cadet To order in 1967 then Darter Commander in 1968.
In 1968 was proposed a new version of the Aero Commander 100 with a Lycoming engine of 180 ch and a sweptback fin traditional, baptized Lark Commander. For lack of sufficient sales the Lark Commander disappeared from the catalog of the manufacturer in 1969, just like the Darter Commander.
