Aer Arann
Aer Arann (Code AITA: RE ; Code ICAO: REA ) is a Irish Airline company, formerly limited to the service road of the islands of Aran starting from Galway.
It transported 1,15 million passengers in 2005.
In the Years 1970, Aer Arann started to serve the islands of Aran starting from Galway, allowing a shuttle between each of the three islands and Ireland. In 1994 Padraig O' Ceidigh bought Aer Arann and developed new destinations (in particular towards the United Kingdom) and modernized the fleet.
Today, Aer Arann is one of the regional airline companies to the fastest development in the world, with a sales turnover exceeding the 60 million euros and with a number of passengers of 1,15 million in 2005 (625 000 per 2003).

In May 2006, Aer Arann placed order of 10 new ATR 72-500, whose deliveries will be spread out over the 3 next years (two in 2007, five in 2008 and three in 2009). By taking account of the shrinking of the oldest apparatuses, the company will operate with 20 ATR in 2009.
