Aedes aegypti
Aedes aegypti is a species of Moustique which is the principal vector of the Dengue and of the Yellow fever.
This Moustique is regarded as one of the most important vectors of diseases. It has a lifestyle which returns it particularly near to the Man, and as the majority of the mosquitos seem to quickly be able to develop resistances to the majority of the Insecticide S. One thus seeks with better including/understanding its ecology. Only the female pricks.
Vector of diseases
This mosquito which can prick several times the same person or different people is famous vector many viruses suitable for assign the Man.
Case of the dengue
The Institut Pasteur studies the migrations of genetic mosquitos by the means of markers, for better including/understanding the propagation of certain diseases, of which the Dengue (4 stocks of dengue) which knows a recrudescence in certain tropical areas, and which one can fear an extension with the phenomenon of Climate warming. According to the first results which show by ex that the subpopulations of Aedes aegypti in Polynesia do not have important genetic exchanges between the islands, the propagation of the virus of the dengue would be supported by displacements of infected travellers, rather than by the migration of insects.
