Five prototypes were built (P1/P5), of which 2 (P2 and P4) were used for the static tests. The first apparatus (P1) left factory in December 1999 and took the air with Vodochody the July 25th, 2000, followed by a second (P3) on December 23rd, 2001. The last prototype (P5), intended for the tests of certification and in conformity with the series, stole on February 25th, 2003 with a turbine PT6A-66A of 850 ch.

Ibis Aerospace hoped to obtain certification to standard FAR Part 23 of this month 2001 and to begin the deliveries with the customers at the end of the same year.
