Adverb
In Grammar, one calls adverb a category of Mot, or a segment (adverbial phrase) which associates with a Verbe, with a Adjectif or another adverb, to modify of it or specify the direction of it. Example: quickly .

It can often be comparable with a circumstantial complement:
- the noun phrase “ with courage ” is circumstantial complement in manner of the verb “ works ”. The adverb in manner “ courageously ” supplements the verb “ works ” (or: circumstantial complement in manner of this same verb).

Certains adverbs can be referential representatives or textual representatives, as well as the Pronom S. It is the case for example, some adverbs of place ( here, there, elsewhere …) and some adverbs of time ( today, tomorrow, yesterday …) :
