the Adventures of Sinbad ( The Adventures off Sinbad ) is a Canadian Televised series in 44 45 minutes episodes, created by ED Naha and diffused between the September 28th 1996 and the May 24th 1998 in Syndication. In France, the series was diffused starting from the November 22nd 1991 on M6 and NRJ 12.

Synopsis

This series puts in scene the adventures of the famous hero of the Thousand and One Nights .

Characters

The crew of the Wandering

  • Sinbad

Sinbad is the captain of the trading vessel the Nomade . The first episode of the series sees it returning to Baghdad after two years of absence, two years when one supposed died it after the shipwreck of his boat. It carries since a bracelet rainbow, but does not know why.

  • Maeve

Maeve is a apprentie-witch and has as a Dim-Dim Master, whom well-known Sinbad has. She is equipped with very a strong personality, which returns its relation with Sinbad tended when they meet for the first time… but that does not last. The purpose of she is in the life, in addition to finding Dim-Dim, avenging her brother and to fight Rumina. But the second season sees it falling from the Nomade in full storm, and it will be known that actually, it is by the will of Dim-Dim to protect it, because it would not have been enough strong to overcome Rumina.

  • Doubar

Doubar is the older brother of Sinbad. It is him which raised it when their mother died.

  • Firouz

Firouz is the scientist of the crew. He lived in Baghdad before joining the ship.

  • Rongar

Rongar is a dumb Moor and very good launcher of knives. Formerly friendly of Mustapha, it remains on the ship when this one is made kill.

  • Dermott

Dermott is the brother of Maeve, which Rumina transformed into falcon.

  • Bryn

Bryn is an amnesic apprentie-witch who carries the same bracelet as Sinbad. According to Dim-Dim, it is it which will make it possible Sinbad to find them him and Maeve.

The malicious ones

  • Turok

Turok is a bad wizard, that Sinbad kills in the first episode.

  • Ruminated

It is the girl of Turok. She appears in the first season and seeks to avenge her father. She hates and likes Sinbad at the same time, which constitutes its weakness.

  • Scratch

Scratch is a demon of the second season especially. It is hideous and wants the heart of Sinbad.

  • Dim-Dim

  • Tetsu
