the high-level technicien in Mechanics and Industrial Automatisms (TS MAY) ensures, within a production company of goods or services, whole or part of the activities of design and realization of equipment of automated production (or prototype) or their exploitation and optimization.

the first function of the TS MAY: " design-realization-integration of whole or part of equipment or production machine tool automatisée" can be assured in a specialized company in the study, the supply or the restoration on invitation to tender of such equipment (special machines, automated lines or workshops), or in a department " automatismes" of an average or large company of manufacturing output or process. Its object can be, either the supply of new equipment, or the restoration or the addition of new functionalities to existing equipment.

second functions of the TS MAY: " exploitation and optimization of a production line automatisée" can be assured in any department " production" of very undertaken whose exploitation of the means of production requires an optimization.
Organization of the formation
During two years of full-time studies, the student is in permanent relation with the work world in particular with through:

of the teaching exploitation of topics of study resulting from the industrial sector,
-
two periods of in-company trainings of, respectively six and two weeks minima. The second period being obligatorily devoted to activities of operation of industrial system in production,
-
in second year (1 day per week) in partnership with a company: design - realization - test - integration of an automated production machine tool.
Objectives of the formation
The multi-field formation takes support on current technologies and methods such as:

tools for functional and behavioral description of the automated systems (diagrams blocks, SADT, GRAFCET, GEMMATED…) ;

components and components of guidance, transmission of movement, transmission of power;

tools of representation and simulation of the operation of the products (CAD, modellers 3D, computation softwares.)

methods of progressive approach of the specifications and structured analysis (functional, hierarchisation schedule of conditions of the functions, analyzes downward.) ;
-
project management (taken into account of the economic objectives, bill book and performances, organization and human and material stock management);
Several aptitudes and general terms of reference, necessary to future the activities of the high-level technicien in company, are also developed within the framework of this diploma. They relate to the activities:

of information (to get information, classify, organize, manage and make live the databases; to maintain a technological survey);

of communication written and oral (to listen to its interlocutor, to take into account his point of view, to question it; to describe a situation, to compile a summary, to disseminate information; to express its point of view, to give an account of a decision, to argue; to transfer its knowledge and its knowledge to make, form);

of organization and quality assurance of its activities (to plan, follow to manage the activities within a team, to permanently ensure the quality of its interventions, to respect the objectives, the constraints, the directives and the deadlines);

of animation and framing of meeting or work group;

of autonomy and decision making on the level of its responsibility in the activity.
Admission requirements
The candidate (E) S titular of a Baccalaureat sciences and industrial technologies electrotechnical option Genius or mechanical Engineering, or exceptionally of a scientific Baccalaureat option Engineerings, are allowed (be) after examination of the school records, according to the places available.
