Presentation
The BTS Communication of the companies has the role to train general practitioners of the communication, able to adapt to all the universes and all the professional situations.
This formation can be followed in a college or by correspondence with the Cned, this last method makes it possible to avoid the numérus closus.
This formation allows:

the discovery of the strategic and technical aspects of the communication of the companies, but also of the territorial collectivities and associations commercial Communication, institutional Communication, Communication interns, social Communication…
- the training and controls it tools of the communication: written Communication, direct Marketing, Relations presses, market research, Techniques of production…
- the discovery of the universe of the media: Television, Press, Posting, Cinema, Radio, Internet
- the acquisition of a solid general culture: in Communication, Social psychology, economy, Right…
- the implementation of concrete actions of communication for advertisers…
Public concerned and necessary qualities
This BTS is opened with all the holders of a baccalaureat (general, technological, professional) or having achieved the formation supplements leading to it. The students are more generally titular vats L, ES and STG, mercatic speciality.
The future student in BTS Communication of the companies must have the following aptitudes:
- Of creative qualities and the interest for the artistic or cultural fields.
- a capacity of listening, of analysis, a curiosity of spirit and the direction of the contact and the relational one.
- a capacity of adaptation.
- a good control of the written and oral French expression.
Competences
The holder of the BTS Communication of the companies are general practitioners able to take part in the design, the implementation and the management of actions of communication inside and interior towards the outside of the company.

- to write supports of communication to internal or external vocation
- to represent the company in its relations with its external partners
Careers
After several years of experiment, the diploma of BTS communication of the companies makes it possible to become the assistant of the communications director, in a company, an administration, a territorial collectivity or within an association. In a company which does not have service communication, you could be communication official. In an agency of communication, the mission will be more commercial. Lastly, this BTS makes it possible to work in advertizing agency, work is then to market ad spaces for supports such as titles of press, television channels…
With track records this diploma makes it possible to reach functions of framing in agencies of communication (project manager, chief of publicity…) or of the services communication of companies or communities.
One notes a decrease of the recruitings in the agencies of communication and a strong growth of the recruitings in the territorial collectivities.
Continuation of studies after the diploma
The diploma of the BTS Communication of the companies makes it possible to enter directly the working life. However, 75% of the graduates choose to continue their studies. Among these 75%, the majority (90%) choose to continue in the communication.
The continuations of studies can be done by the way of continuing education, but also in certain cases by the way of the training, sees increasingly retained, since it makes it possible to the students to be closest to their future trade, to garner an experiment and thus to build their curriculum vitae.
