Advanced vocational diploma - Assistant of direction

General information

The Advanced vocational diploma “Assistant of direction” is a course of studies being held over two years in French colleges. It trains the students to treat tasks relating to the administration, with the communication like with the organization. It can be prepared in Alternance or initial training.

Conditions of acceptance in a college appearing sometimes difficult because of the limited number of place, it should be noted that this BTS can also be followed by correspondence by the means of the Cned

Source of the students

The students are mainly resulting from the classes of final STG (in the past STT), come then the vats pro office automations (secretariat) as well as the vats ES and L or following a university reorientation. This formation is primarily female.

Teaching

Technical administrative:

  • the professional communication.
  • the time and documentation, organization and information management.
  • the methodology of the action and project control.
Opening towards the outside and knowledge of the company:
  • General economy, economy of the company.
  • Right.
Expression and methods general culture and foreign languages:
  • German or English in living language I.
  • German, English, Spanish, Italian in living language II.
In-company trainings:
  • 6 weeks in first year.
  • 6 weeks in second year.
professional Actions: 1 day per week in company.

Examination

The examinations proceed in two phases . In May the written tests take place. The students are convened individually for the oral examinations, after the writings, during June or May. The jury of deliberation is held a few days after the oral examinations. You obtain the BTS if you have an average equal or higher than 10/20 . There exists no test of fishing out in BTS.

Oral tests:

  • E2 foreign Living language Lasted 20 min + 20 min of preparation; Coefficient 1

  • E6 Épreuve professional of synthesis (maintenance relating to the practice of community activities) Duration 40 min; Coefficient 3
  • EF1 optional Test LV2 Lasted 20 min + 20 min of preparation; Coefficient 1

Test on data-processing station:

  • E4 Pratique professional techniques Durée 1:00; Coefficient 4

Future prospects and outlets

Professional insertion is possible in services where prevail of the activities of communication, document management, files or files requiring an important degree of autonomy . After a few years of experiment the holders of this diploma can evolve to the uses of internal assistant of management, functional assistant, privileged collaborator of the direction.
