Adrian Tomine

Adrian Tomine is a American Dessinateur born in 1974 with Sacramento, California.

Biography

Adrian Tomine started to publish its drawings in 1991 pennies the form of a comic book named optic NERVE (number 1 was published in August and in 25 specimens).

In 1994 it signs a contract with Drawn and Quarterly which becomes its editor and the following year it obtains the Harvey Award (category better young talent).

Optic Nerve (in French: Optical nerve) started with humorous and autobiographical stories. As it purified its style, the accounts became more cold in a kind close to the autofiction, and also more romantic.

Adrian Tomine is also Illustrateur, in particular for the magazines The New Yorker and Time. He currently lives with New York after having lived Berkeley a long time.
