Adrian Aeschbacher

Adrian Aeschbacher (born the May 10th 1912 with Langenthal and dead the November 9th 2002 with Zurich) is a Pianiste and Claveciniste Suisse.

The term of " claveciniste" can cover with extremely various realities. In the broad spectrum which goes from the instrumentalist exclusively devoted to the harpsichord, with the musician who only employs it very episodically and marginally, Adrian Aeschbacher forms part of the last category clearly.

This Swiss pianist, born in 1912, studies with the academy of Zurich, then in Berlin with Artur Schnabel. He carries out a round in concerts in Europe in 1935. Later he plays under the direction of Wilhelm Furtwängler, with which he records the Second concerto of Brahms. In 1965, it is named professor with the Academy of Music of Saarbrucken.

Of its incursion into the universe of the harpsichord, remained to us a recording on disc vinyl of concertos for three and four harpsichords of Bach, with Karl Richter, Eduard Müller and Hans Gurtner.
