Adolphe Schneider
François Antoine known as Adolphe Schneider is a French industrialist born with Nancy (Meurthe) the October 23rd 1802 and died in the Creusot (Saône-et-Loire) the August 3rd 1845.
Biography
Wire of Antoine Schneider (1759 - 1828) and of Catherine Durand, nephew of the general Virgile Schneider, Adolphe Schneider became, after modest beginnings of employee in the bank Seilliere, manager, with his brother Eugene, of the metallurgical establishment of Creusot from which they shared the direction and the benefit.Mayor of Creusot, general adviser of the canton of Layers and Montcenis (1842), it was elected appointed the July 9th 1842 by the 5th college of Saône-et-Loire (Autun) by 233 votes out of 328 voters and 434 registered voters against 101 with Mr. de Montépin, deputy outgoing. He took seat in the ministerial majority. Deceased in August 1845 of the continuations of a fall of horse, it was replaced with the House of Commons, the September 13rd according to, by his/her Eugene brother.
It is buried with the Cimetière of the Father-Lachaise.
