Mgr Duparc , born with Lorient in 1857, deceased in 1946, religious French.

Adolphe-Marie Duparc was during 38 years bishop of Quimper and the Leon. He is the man of several engagements: separation of the Church and the State, Laicization of the schools, Alcoholism, Breton Nationalism. (prohibition with the monks to invest itself in the nationalist movement, excommunication of the Breton nationalists of the GNP the July 12th 1940). It particularly sticks to develop the Christian school (by the creation of 110 elementary schools and 8 technical training schools) and to promote the Catholic Action.

It has the concern of the training of the clergy. In 1913, it repurchases the small seminar of Bridge-Cross, founded in 1823, and nationalized in 1905.

It was born in Lorient.

It is returned seminar where it had entered at the 9 years age, before being reinstated there.

Deceased in 1946, it is buried in the cathedral Saint Corentin where the public can see its lying out of bronze.
