Adolphe-Philippe Charon
honourable the Sir Joseph-Philippe-Rene-Adolphe Charon , CP (December 24th 1843 - April 20th 1908), is a lawyer and a Canadian politician . Wire of the lawyer and politician Rene-Edouard Charon, it is especially known for the part which it played in the Rébellion of the North-West in 1885 in time that Minister for the militia and the defense of Canada under the government of Sir John A. Macdonald.
Preserving, Charon was elected with six recoveries with the House of Commons of Canada, initially at the time of a by-election in 1873 for the county of Quebec, then again in 1878, 1880, 1882 and 1887. In 1891, it is elected representing district of Rimouski, and in 1896 with Three-Rivers.
Of 1892 with 1896, it officiates as general Postier of Canada.
