Biography

Adolphe-Frederic VI of Mecklembourg-Strelitz made his secondary studies with Dresden, then studied jurisprudence with Munich before entering the army.

He succeeded his father the June 11th 1914, a few months before the declaration of the First World War. The February 23rd 1918, it committed suicide in Neustrelitz.

The line of Mecklembourg-Strelitz had to face an serious attack of succession. The only member in life of the House of Mecklembourg-Strelitz was the duke Charles-Michel de Mecklembourg-Strelitz (1863 - 1934), this one was useful in the imperial army of Russia, he renonça with his rights on the large-ducal crown of Mecklembourg-Strelitz in 1914.
