Adnan Menderes

Adnan Menderes is a Turkish Politician born with Aydın in 1899 and died in the island of İmralı the September 17th 1961. Adnan Menderes is a Katipzade family member; he is farmer and has the farm of Cakirbeyli when he Marie with Fatma Berin girl of the influencing family Evliyazade of Izmir the September 2nd 1928 (the fillançaille and ceremony of marriage taking place the same day). The latter had asked him besides to make him a promise, that never to be interested in the policy.

Biography

1899 : it is born with Aydın;
August 1930: it founds the branch of Aydın of transitory the Serbest Fıkra (“Left free”) whose creation constitutes a kind of experiment (with the agreement of Atatürk) in a system of sole party;
1930 : it enters to the sole party of then, the Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi (or CHP , “Republican party of the people”);
1931 : he is elected appointed of Aydın;
1935 : he is graduate Faculty of Law of Ankara;
1945 : he is excluded from CHP;
June 7th 1946: it founds the Demokrat Parti (or DP , “Democratic party”) with Celal Bayar;
1946 : he is elected appointed of Kütahya;
May 14th 1950: DP gains the legislative ones; Adnan Menderes will direct 5 governments during the ten following years;
1955 : to the post of Prime Minister, he adds that of Foreign Minister;
February 17th 1959: he survives an air crash whereas he went to London;
May 27th 1960: it is dislocated by the coup d'etat of the general Cemal Gürsel;
September 17th 1961: condemned to died for violation of the constitution, it is hung on the island of İmralı.
