Administrative district of Roulers

The administrative district of Roulers is one of the eight administrative districts of the province of Western Flanders in Belgium. The district has a surface of 271,54 km ² and has a population of 142060 inhabitants.

The district is only one administrative district and not a legal district. From a legal point of view, the communes are distributed in the districts judicaires of Bruges, Courtrai and Ypres.

History

The district of Roulers goes back to 1818 by the fusion of cantons making in the beginning left the district of Bruges, Ypres and Courtrai.
