the canton of Saint-Etienne-North-West-1 is made of part of Saint-Etienne and commune of Villars (23 752 inhabitants)

Body of the firemen

The body of the firemen of the agglomeration inhabitant of Saint-Etienne is organized in four barracks:

the center of intervention n°1 (CI1) in the center town, the place Chavanelle (street Etienne Mimard); defends the center town, administrative seat;
the center of intervention n°2 (Ci) with Métare, boulevard Karl Marx; the South of the agglomeration defends, sits of the Processing center of alarm (CTA) of the agglomeration inhabitant of Saint-Etienne;
the center of intervention n°3 (CI3) to the Saint-Victor-on-Loire (street of the Port), for the monitoring of the base of leisure: no permanent manpower, the guards are assured each day by personnel different
the center from intervention n°4 (CI4) with the Terrace, street of the Tower: the North of the agglomeration defends;

The Departmental management of and the help fire protection organizations of the Loire (DDSIS -42) is also located on the commune of Saint-Etienne, street of the Ploton Canon, with the limit of Saint-Priest-in-Jarez.
