Adhémar Raynault
Adhémar Renault (July 12th, 1891 - April 11th, 1984) was used twice as Maire of Montreal, 1936 with 1938 and as 1940 with 1944. In particular, it was useful as mayor during the period when Camillien Houde was interned for its opposition to the Conscription of war. It accommodated in its functions the Général de Gaulle, president of the free France, on July 12th, 1944, whereas it celebrated his 53e birthday.
He was also elected with the Legislative Assemblée of Quebec to the election of 1936 but to the election of 1939 was not presented once more.
