Until the 12th century, the Village is called Adelochshoffen , in the honor of the bishop Adeloch (817 - 822), Précepteur of Louis the Piles. In the middle of the 14th century, the knight S of Schöneck, vassal of the town of Strasbourg, are Seigneur S. the Couvent of Schwarzach (Bade) and the évéché of Strasbourg have there also grounds. In 1392, during one of the wars opposing at the time the town of Strasbourg and its bishop, the Village, just like that of Koenigshoffen, is shaved by order of the Magistrat city to prevent that the enemy troops do not settle there. The inhabitants of Adelshoffen then obtain the authorization to be established with the bottom of the village of Schiltigheim, close to Bischheim. In 1502, the town of Strasbourg buys the village.
The village is successively called Adolsheim in 1521, Adratzhoffen in 1565. The cadastral books of 1683 speak about Adelshoffen by specifying that formerly the Hameau was called Adratzhoffen or Adelhardtshoffen .
