Adeje (Santa Cruz of Tenerife)
Adeje is a commune located in the south-west of the island of Tenerife in the archipelago of the the Canaries (Spain). It is located at mountainside, with only a few kilometers of the tourist coastal area “Costa Adeje”. It is crossed by several small ravines called “barrancos” in Spanish. Accessible by the highway from the South, this commune manages, with its neighbor Arona the tourist centers of Costa Adeje, Playa of mow Americas and Los Christianos.
The historical Heart of Adeje is of typical style Canarian with volcanic stones, and rich colors. The municipality does all to emphasize it. In the middle of Adeje, the church Santa Ursula (XVIe century), is one of oldest of the island. With the considerable population growth in the area, of the new residential zones develop in Adeje. Indeed, of many people working in the hotels of the south, choose to reside at it.
