Adblock
Adblock is an extension for Mozilla Firefox charged to filter the contents of the Web pages.
The Logiciel, whose development was stopped in 2005, makes it possible to the users to block the posting of the elements of a page, such as banners of publicity.
Because of the difficulties of development since 2004, a version Fork called Adblock Plus replaced the software of origin. It comprises improvements of the user interface, the possibility of subscribing with lists of filters and a function to hide the elements. Like the blocker of images integrated into Firefox, Adblock Plus analyzes the requests HTTP according to their Internet addresses and can prevent the loading of IFrames, scripts and publicities to the format Flash.
An additional extension, ''''' Element Hiding Helper ''''', makes it possible to block other formats of publicities, as the Adwords advertisements, the advertisements google, yahoo etc the user selects the elements of a page, of a field which it does not wish any more to see (the beacons " div") and they are not posted any more.
