Adamoli-Cattani
In 1918 two Italian engineers joined to produce at the private risk the smallest possible single-seat hunter around the most powerful engine available, a the Rhone out of star of 200 ch. L' idea was ambitious but the result was a single-seat biplane of rather traditional invoice, if it is not the replacement of the ailerons by an articulated leading edge. Started with the factory Farina of Turin, construction was completed at Officine Monceniso with Condove. The ground tests showed that the engine provided only 80% of its power because of its type of assembly. The hunter under-was thus motorized and the Armistice returned any project of useless improvement. It is not very probable that the armament envisaged (2 machine-guns of 7,7 mm) was even installed on the prototype.
