Adama Drabo

Adama Drabo is a Cinéaste and Dramaturge Mali into born in 1948 with Bamako.

As of its childhood it is interested in the Cinéma. Teacher during 10 years in a village, it paints and written as an amateur of the plays.

In 1979, it enters to the National center of film production (CNPC) of Mali. He works with the realizer Cheick Oumar Sissoko as assistant realizer on the turning of the films Nyamanton (1986) and Finzan (1989).

In 1988, it turns a means-measuring, Nieba, the day of a country-woman . In 1991, it leaves its first feature film Your Gave ( To fire! ), nominated for the gold Lion to the International festival of film of Locarno and preceded to the Panafrican Festival of the cinema and the television of Ouagadougou.

In 1997, it carries out Taafé Fanga , which tells the history of a village dogon where the discovery by a woman of a mask which gives the capacity reverses the order of the things, the women taking the place usually reserved to the men. This film will be preceded in various festivals (Cannes festival, Tokyo, Ouagadougou and Namur).
