But finally, with the assistance of Pip the Troll, Gamora and Thanos, Adam Warlock succeeds in eliminating the temporal line in which the Magus existed, thus erasing in a retroactive way its existence in time. Then Thanos projected Adam Warlock two years in the future, where it met his dying “future”, preparing to again give birth to the Magus. Adam Warlock then absorbed the heart of his “future” dying in the Gem of the heart, putting an end to the threat of his malfaisant alter-ego.
The Glove of the infinite one
the heart of Warlock it lay in the Gem of the heart during several years, until Thanos is brought back to the life by Death itself. Thanos, having obtained the Glove of Infinite (a glove decorated with all the Gems with Infinite) it became omnipotent, exiled the Silver Surfer and Drax the Destructor in the world inside the Gem of the heart. After having returned the two heroes in their physical bodies, the heart of Warlock left the Gem of the heart and lived the body of a death recent, which was metamorphosed in a new body of Warlock. Warlock was once again decisive in the defeat of Thanos, and at the end the Glove of the Infinite one obtained.
Warlock was soon forced to separate the Gems from Infinite between several carriers, the power cosmic of the universe having prevented the Gems from functioning together after the bad use which had made Thanos be able to them. Warlock kept the Gem of the heart, and distributed the remainder among the members of the Infinity Watch. Temporary possession of the Glove by Warlock have on him of the invisible consequences; while trying to control its emotions in order to assume its divinity in the most objective possible way, it unconsciously exiled any concept of good and evil of its heart. Consequently, these aspects took a physical shape: the malefic half became a new incarnation of the Magus, while the good half became the Goddess, proclaimed car. Both tried to take the control of the universe and were overcome and exiled in the world of the Gem of the heart, where they did not have any capacity and, (Warlock believed) would not constitute any more one threat for anybody.
A few months later, Warlock was killed (still) by an extraterrestrial vampire called Rune; Infinity Watch separated and the Gems disappeared in a parallel universe, “the Ultraverse”, where reappeared Warlock. Warlock turned over finally in the Marvel universe, and met Thanos and the former members of Infinity Watch on some additional occasions. A mini-series to him was devoted some time later, in which it fought the reanimated body of Captain Marvel.
Later Infinity Abyss and adventures
The principal appearance of Warlock thereafter took place in the mini-series Infinity Abyss . Warlock was found in an asylum, locked up in a new cocoon. It was réincarné with a slightly different aspect, after a clone of Thanos handled Moondragon to bring back it to the life.Warlock helped to prevent a universal crisis while fighting against the clones of Thanos, and ends up taking care on Atleza, a supposed being to prevent cosmos from falling into the infinite Abyss. It started also a relation with Gamora.
Later, in the mini-series Marvel: The End , Warlock, alive out of the cosmis was able to convince Thanos to restore the Marvel Universe after it destroyed it while using of the ultimate capacity, assisted Thanos in its first search of redemption and more recently helped Miss Hulk.
Mini-series Warlock (2004)
In the mini-series Warlock of 2004 scenarized by Greg Pak and illustrated by Charlie Adlard, another Warlock (Warlock II) was created by the Enclave. Warlock II was supposed to be the saver of the mankind. He would be a god among the men and “would repair” the world. It was equipped with a safety installed on its head (which resembled the site of the Gem of the heart) which prevented it from wondering about its role as a god of the Earth. Warlock II was helped by Janie, its originator. Janie was arranged to arrive until Warlock II and decontaminated safety. Warlock II, plunged in confusion by disappointments and contradictions of the human condition chooses to destroy the Earth.
All that, in fact, proved to be an illusion being held in the head of Janie. It was tested by true Adam Warlock. One had given him a chance to see humanity and to feel compassion for this one in a way that Adam Warlock could not include/understand the first time it left the laboratories of the Enclave. One learned finally that Janie was in fact new Warlock being created. It emerged from its cocoon to the Enclave and party to direct the Earth to its manner, having learned from the useful lessons of original Warlock.
The whole history, a priori , is located entirely apart from continuity, the ground there being described very different from that appearing in the other Marvel comics.
Capacities
Force
Adam Warlock has a superhuman force, allowing him to raise (or press) 10 tons. When it is increased by cosmic energy, he can raise (or press) up to 50 tons.
Talents
Adam Warlock is an expert in martial arts without to have received formal drive. Its style emphasizes extraordinary reflexes, a great agility, an exceptional direction of the combat and a great knowledge of the adversary. It is thanks to its intelligence that it has a capacity natural to analyze the profile of its enemies.
It has a powerful intuitive direction and a conscience of the other plans of existence. This is due partly to the fact that it had an existence outside the Universe after an edict of Master Order and Lord Chaos. Thanks to this edict and with several meetings with omnipotent beings, Adam Warlock is conscious of the basic principles of the Universe on a level exceeding knowledge of the majority of the mortals.
Superhuman capacities
-
Adam Warlock is able to fly at the supersonic speed of Mach 3 in the terrestrial atmosphere (either approximately 3 540 km/h). In the vacuum of space, it can move more quickly than the light. It can also create space distortions, probablemement by handling the cosmic energy which it absorbs naturally.
- It has a metabolism increased and enduring, and of the reflexes higher than human normal.
- It has also several capacities psionic like telepathy and a cosmic conscience.
- It has the capacity to drain the energy sources cosmic at various ends such as the projection of gusts. However, when Adam Warlock was in possession of the Gem of the heart, it so strongly drained its own vital force that it obstructed it in its capacity to be absorbed and to handle cosmic energy.
- It has a great capacity of regeneration. When it is wounded seriously (mentally or physically), it can create a cocoon around its body. It enters then a state close to the hibernation, during which its body is regenerated completely.
Weapons
Its Stick karma is a mental expression of the capacity of Adam Warlock. It enables him to project gusts of energy, to achieve small telekinesic prowesses and to push back gusts directed towards him. It enables him to focus mystical energies more effectively.
Its Gem of the heart is part of an omnipotent entity which separated in six powerful pieces known like the Gems of the Infinite one. The Gems of Infinite seem to have a clean intelligence but only the Gem of the heart was studied in detail. It seems to have a malevolent personality, seeking to satisfy its own needs, i.e. new hearts to be absorbed in its interior reality. The Gem of the heart creates a symbiotic relation with its host, providing him protection, support and capacity in exchange of new hearts. The Maître of the evolution was enough powerful to resist the attraction of the Gem, but it convainquit to give it to Adam Warlock in spite of his dangers.
Enough curiously, reality where the beings captured by the Gem of the heart found themselves was a place of peace and calm, where all the hearts captured shared a common conscience and a wellbeing. Some hearts only succeeded in leaving the Gem for a time, but to now only Adam Warlock, the Mage, Gamora and Pip the Troll managed to leave without going back there. The Gem of the heart has several clean capacities, which it shares with the host who carries it. These capacities are: conscience of the close hearts and their emotional state; the disturbance of psychic energy inside the heart, being able to cause unconsciousness, a mental instability or even death; the projection of energy by powerful gusts; increase in the natural physical capacities of the host; and gasoline of the hearts collects it while placing them in its reality. The Gem can drain the spiritual gasoline of its host if it is not satisfied. This transfer of gasoline can cause personality disorders at the host, but they are not permanent.
