Adam Kazimierz Czartoryski

Prince Adam Kazimierz Czartoryski (1734 - 1823) was a political writer and Polish.
Nephew of Constancy Czartoryska, it stood as a candidate to the throne of Poland at the same time as Stanislas Auguste Poniatowski, to died of Auguste III of Poland, entered to the service of the Austria and became Feld-maréchal. He took share with the various attempts which the Poles made to shake the yoke from abroad, was named by Napoleon i marshal of the diet of Poland and organized the confederation of 1802. Since 1815 it lived withdrawn in its fields, cultivating and protecting the letters. Its compatriots called it the Mécène of Poland .
