Adam Duncan

Adam Duncan , or Lord Duncan (Lundie, Angus, Scotland July 1st 1731 - August 4th 1804), Viscount Duncan de Camperdown, was a British admiral who gained a victory bright over the Dutch fleet at the time of the Bataille of Camperdown in 1797.
It ordered 1795 with 1800 as vice-admiral the station of the North Sea, supervised actively the coasts of Holland, and gained the October 11th 1797 over the Dutch admiral De Winter, close to the course Camperdown (northern of Haarlem) a victory which was worth to him the title of Viscount of Camperdown and the dignity of Admiral of the white House.
