Adalhelm de Laon

Adelhelm , was probably a count de Laon of the end of the 9th century. It was also to advise of the king Louis II the Stammerer in 877.

It is quoted like the uncle of the king Eudes and had a son Gautier or Walthar († 892), count de Laon. He died between 895 and 892.

Here finishes the certainty. Independently of mention of uncle of king Eudes, his relationship with the Robertiens is rather obvious, because its first name is carried by several close relations of this family: a count who could be the grandfather of Eudes of Orleans and Waldrade, the mother of Robert the Fort, and a count de Troyes grandson of Eudes I {{er}}, count de Troyes. the first name of his/her son is also carried by a son and a grandson of Eudes of Orleans, respectively bishops of Orleans and Direction.

Adalhelm would be wire of Robert III, count de Wormsgau, and of Waldrade, and brother of Robert the Fort and Eudes I {{er}} of Troyes. If it is the case, he would have been a partisan of Charles the Bald person after the death of Louis the Piles, and would have, his fields making left on behalf of Lothaire Ier, would have settled in Francie Occidentale where he would have accepted the county of Laon.
