Ada Kaleh

Ada Kaleh name which means in Turkish " Island forteresse" was an small island located on the the Danube populated by Turkish. It at summer entirely submerged during the construction of the hydroelectric station of the Doors of Iron in 1970. The island was located at approximately 3 km downstream from Orşova and measured 1,75 km out of 0,5.
