Active citizen

In 1790, one distinguished two kinds of active citizens :

  • those which paid tax S equivalents at more or less three days of travail : they could elect the Conseil of commune and the Justice of the Peace,
  • those which paid taxes equivalent to more or less ten days of travail : they could elect the legislative assembled , the Conseil of district and the Tribunal of district.
