Actinolite (mineral)

A actinolite is a calcic Amphibole ferromagnésienne. Its chemical formula is: $Ca\_2\; (Mg,\; Fe)\; \_5\; (OH,\; F)\; \_2\_2\; \backslash ,$. Its name comes from the Greek aktis , ray.

Characteristics: rather rare prismatic crystals. Aggregates out of lengthened rods.
