LAct off Uniformity of 1662 ( Act of Uniformity in French) is a Loi voted by the Parlement of England under the reign of Charles II. The act required of all the practice of the rites and the ceremonies envisaged by the Église of England. It founded in addition the episcopal Ordination for all the ministers of religion. These Draconian conditions involved the ousting of almost 2000 ecclesiastics out of the established worship.
The Test Act and the Corporation Act , which remained in force until in 1828, in addition excluded the anticonformist believers from public, civil or military employment. They also prevented from obtaining Diplôme S near the Université S of Cambridge and Oxford.
L Act off Uniformity prescribed forms necessary for the public Prière S, the administration of the Sacrement S as well as other rites. Its provisions were modified by an amendment in 1872.
