Act of faith

The act of faith is a catholic prayer in which the believer affirms his faith as a God and the Church that it instituted as maidservant of the Truth. This prayer is opposed to the belief in misleading God, " bad génie" (such as Descartes considers it in the first of its Méditation metaphysics ) and with the idea according to which the truth would be subjective, even multiple.

The text is the following:

My God, I firmly believe in all the truths that you revealed us and that you teach us by your Church, because you can neither mislead you nor to mislead us.
