Acrobats of Drummondville

The Voltigeurs of Drummondville are frankness from junior-major Hockey of the Canada, evolving/moving in the Ligue of hockey major junior of Quebec and localized to Drummondville, with the Quebec. The team disputes her matches local with the Center Marcel Dionne and exists since 1982.

History

Drummondville had a frankness from the LHJMQ to the foundation of the league in 1969, called the Rangers de Drummondville but the club had however to cease its activities in 1974. The Acrobats made their entry in the league in 1982 with the Chevaliers of Longueuil.

The team was named thus in the honor of a regiment of Québécois infantry which fought during the Guerre of 1812, the Canadian Voltigeurs. The club did not know much success since its arrival in the league, and still the Coupe of the President nor the Trophée Jean Rougeau did not gain. In spite of that, the Acrobats went to the tournament Coupe Memorial twice, in 1988 and 1991, each time as a finalist of the league. They lost in preliminary round in 1988; they lost the Final of 1991 vis-a-vis the Chiefs de Spokane.
