Acousilaos is a Logographe and Mythographe living at sixth century BC.
Biography
Born with Argos. Wire of some Pulled up. According to the Welded , the discovery of bronze shelves containing a text onto the divine genealogy, in the property of his/her father, decided it to write. For the remainder its life is badly known.
Work
Author of a Genealogy in three books, which took again in Ionian prose the essence of the work of Hésiode to the dires of old. It also seems to have paid in this work of the many legends, sometimes even least known. Thanks to the scholiates and Clement of Alexandria, some fragments remain of its work. Its account left original Chaos to finish at the time of the catch of Troy. It had also told there legends such those on the first man Phoronée, or cycles it exploits of Héraclès to the Jardin of Hespérides kept by Harpies (france B5), or the death of Calais and killed Zétès with Tinos by Héraclès (france B19).
Under its name as of Antiquity a chronicle circulated on kings d' Argos.
